Sports are an important part of a healthy pregnancy so that even the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists, reported from the Baby Center, suggest that pregnant women at least do a 20-30-minute light exercise to moderate (almost) every day Within a week — as long as your doctor does not scribe sports or limit your physical activity for reasons of medical conditions or complications.

Here are the reasons why exercising while pregnant provides benefits to your fetal health.

1. Increase Nutrition Intake For Fetal Development

Studies show that pregnant mothers who regularly exercise from the end of the first trimester to the second trimester experience a faster placenta growth than mothers who do not exercise.

The rapidly growing placenta will have a larger surface area and 15 percent more blood vessels. It can give the baby more nutritional intake and calories than normal placenta size.

Increased placenta size In the end also encourages the optimization of functions and capacitance of the end of pregnancy. One of them avoids complications of preeclampsia (occurs when the placenta does not develop either) or placental insufficiency.

Placental insufficiency is a condition when the placenta fails to work optimally resulting in babies birth with small size. These complications are likely to occur in women who smoke and/or have chronic conditions, such as diabetes or kidney disease.

2. Strengthening the Heart of Pregnant Women

Maintaining heart health during pregnancy is very important to facilitate the process of straines during childbirth later

3. Boosts Baby's Brain Skills

Scientists at the University of Monstreal, reported from Today, found that pregnant women who routinely exercise give birth to babies who have more active brain activity, eight to 12 days after birth, than infants from mothers who do not Exercise.

While babies sleep, scientists monitor how their brains respond to new and familiar voices. Babies whose mothers diligently exercise while pregnant are more able to process repeated sounds, respond more efficiently — and in more sophisticated ways — from other baby groups. These results indicate the level of maturity of brain function that is not possessed by infants from mothers who do not exercise while pregnant

4. Blood Circulation

When pregnant sports are beneficial to blood circulation in the body so that the legs, face and other parts of the body do not experience any swelling too seriously. Exercise is also able to reduce the risk of cramps and varicose veins in mother's feet.

5. Shrink the Muscles

Sports are able to strengthen the muscles of pregnant women so that it is not weak, not easy to feel sore, not stiff and help you recover quickly when giving birth to normal later.

6. Calcium Absorption

Good absorption of calcium is utilized for the health of bones, teeth and also helps you prepare for the lactation.

7. Prevents Constipation

Exercise is capable of activating the muscles, including the muscles in the intestines so it is more flexible and not strained so as to prevent the onset of constipation while pregnant.

8. Raising the Mood of Pregnant Women

Expectant mothers are susceptible to swing mood. One way to solve it is to exercise regularly. It is because, while you are exercising, the body will release hormones that make the heart happy.

9. Strengthen the Memory of Mothers

Exercise can increase the amount of neurogenesis, i.e. nerve cells associated with short-term memory.

10. Returning Weight After Childbirth

Diligent exercise during pregnancy makes the addition of fat in the body slightly. If you do not experience being overweight during pregnancy, then you will be more easily restoring the ideal body shape after childbirth later.
