Manchester - Paul Scholes highlights Manchester United's home performances. If you keep losing points at Old Trafford, MU can be tough to win.
Manchester United vs Everton takes place at Old Trafford on Sunday (02/07/2021) in the Premier League. Both teams drew, each with just one point.
MU led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes. However, Everton responded through Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez in the second half.
Scott McTominay had a chance to restore MU's lead. The mu victory that was already in sight was won by Dominic Calvert-Lewin who broke david de Gea's goal at the end of injury time.
For this result, Manchester United failed to match Manchester City's record at the top of the Premier League table. Harry Maguire has now collected 45 points from 23 games, two behind City who will face Liverpool on Sunday night.
Paul Scholes, the former Manchester United player, called the Red Devils this season so easy to lose points at home. Against Everton, mu should be able to secure three points.
"They lost a stupid point. It makes it difficult for themselves to win the title," he told Sky Sports.
According to Scholes, Manchester United should not lose points at home. Because the team that won the Premier League, must be so strong at home.
"The team that won the Premier League is a strong team at home. For sure, in the away game we do not know what will happen," he explained.
"This season Manchester United lost to Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United," he added.
Paul Scholes closes in, it's perfectly legitimate that Manchester United are desperate for the title. But if performing at home alone is difficult, then it can be bothered by yourself.
"Legitimately they still believe in champions, after all their performances are good. But there is no reason to lose any more points at home," concluded Scholes, who has a collection of 11 Premier League titles with MU.
