CAUSES OF VAGINAL DISCHARGE, CAUTION!!!!


Vaginal discharge is a condition when mucus or fluid comes out of the vagina. Vaginal discharge is the body's natural way to maintain the hygiene and humidity of the female organs. When a woman experiences vaginal discharge, the fluid produced by the vaginal gland and the cervix will come out carrying dead cells and bacteria, so the vagina remains protected from infection.


Normal vaginal discharge occurs in women who are still experiencing menstruation. Pregnant women may more often experience vaginal discharge due to hormonal changes. When the woman starts to enter menopause, then vaginal discharge will be reduced.

Please be careful if the vaginal discharge has changes in colour, texture and smell. This condition can be an abnormal vaginal discharge caused by an infection or abnormality in the female reproductive organs.

There are several factors that make a woman susceptible to vaginal infections and cause vaginal discharge, among others:

1.  Bacterial infections

The most common bacterial infection is the cause of abnormal vaginal discharge. Bacterial Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most commonly attacking bacteria. These bacteria can occur due to the imbalance between good and evil bacteria inside the vagina.

The cause of this imbalance is due to unsafe sex behavior. These sex behaviors could be like not disposable condoms and often mutually spouses. In addition to the use of contraceptives such as birth control pills and lack of vaginal hygiene can also be the cause factor.

Symptoms of bacterial infection can be a gray, white, or green whitish. In addition, vaginal discharge is also bad and itchy.

2. Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis can result in yellow, green, and pungent vaginal discharge. The transmission of this infection can be caused by sexual contact and alternating use of towels.

3. Chlamydia

The next abnormal cause of vaginal discharge is chlamydia. Chlamydia is also a bacterial infection that is contagious through sexual intercourse. Symptoms that arise are pain during urination, continuous vaginal discharge, lower abdominal pain, vaginal discharge, and smell bad. The way to handle it can be in no way to change the sex partner.

4. Gonorrhea

7. Cervical inflammation

Cervical inflammation or cervicitis is an inflammation that occurs on the lower end of the uterus near the vaginal opening. The inflammation of the cervix does not necessarily cause early symptoms, but it will appear excessive vaginal discharge. Excess vaginal discharge can be a sign of inflammation of the cervix.

8. Vaginitis

Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina caused by an infection. Inflammation occurs due to reduced estrogen levels after menopause and some skin abnormalities. This viginitis can also be a cause of excessive vaginal discharge and abnormal coloration.

9. Cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is included in a serious illness due to human papillomavirus (HPV). The early symptoms of the disease are difficult to identify, but the earliest phases often overlooked are whiteness. Vaginal discharge due to cervical cancer is usually white or clear with a liquid texture. Sometimes whiteness can be brown with blood and bad smell.

10. Allergies

Allergies that occur in the vaginal area may cause vaginal discharge. Usually allergies can be caused by vaginal cleaners, lubricants, condoms, and others. Discontinue use and consult your doctor for treatment.
